World-renowned saxophonist Joshua Redman released his new Blue Note album, “Words Fall Short,” in June 2025. Following the success of “where are we,” this project marks an important milestone: eight previously unheard compositions, written during the pandemic and performed by a newly formed quartet. Joining Redman are Paul Cornish (piano), Philip Norris (bass), and Nazir Ebo (drums) — three young musicians who combine creativity with deep musical sensitivity.
The album stands out for its richness and remarkable collaborations: Melissa Aldana (saxophone), Skylar Tang (trumpet), and Gabrielle Cavassa (vocals). Tracks such as “So It Goes” and “Icarus” reveal the depth and nuance of Redman’s writing. “Words Fall Short” celebrates the beauty of human imperfection and the power of artistic expression.
